Parker is very close to crawling. He's doing this funny thing where he gets up on his hands and knees and then lunges forward. He usually need some inspiration to get going, like his favorite toys or a jelly donut. I think he'll be full on crawling by the end of the month!

James leaves Colts

"The Edge" is headed to sunny Arizona. The Associated Press reports that James signed a $30 million, 4 year deal with the Arizona Cardinals. Should make for some interesting changes for the Colts. Dominic Rhodes and James Mungro are likely candidates for the Colts starting running back job. Looks like the Washington Redskins also signed former IU quarterback, turned wide receiver Antwaan Randle El, who currently plays with the Super Bowl champ Steelers.

Anna Catharine Hiland: 1916-2006

Cathy's Grandmother and Parker's Great Grandmother died today in Lebanon. She was 89 years old. She was the Mother of three, the Grandmother of 11 and the Great Grandmother of 16. We are all lucky to have known her. Visitation and funeral services will be later this week at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N Lebanon St.

More Americns know Simpsons than Constitution

A recent study by the the new McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum found that "22 percent of Americans could name all five Simpson family members, compared with just one in 1,000 people who could name all five First Amendment freedoms." I guess not everyone can be as well versed as I am in both the Simpsons and the Bill of Rights as I am :). Of, and for the record, it's freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and petition for redress of grievances; and Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

Wilco in Bloomington

I got an early birthday present yesterday. I found out that Wilco is coming back to Bloomington! I've missed two shows in Indy since I last saw them in Bloomington in April of 2002. This show is at the beautiful IU Auditorium as part of Little 500. The last time I saw Wilco they premiered a new song, "The Late Greats." I'm hoping this show in just as memorable!
